These pieces are from the social media feeds of CCTV News, China’s network news broadcast holding a compulsory broadcasting time from 7 PM on all medium-to-high level channels. The Vicious Translator uses a word-to-word translation to expand the meaningfulness of news and explore: What is news? What is a vicious heart to reproduce news without any authorisation? What have interpreters become in a post-humanist society?

The Weather Box is a large black box project that contains all the conditions for life – air, clouds and rain, lightning, rocks and fire. Every few hours, the climate here changes randomly, creating a panorama of the new century.
